She Walks, She Walks, Oh Baby!...

So, yes, the baby girl WALKS!!!!

Casey, Tee Jay, and I ventured out in the snow (we got more, more, oh-way-too-much-more snow this week) to my cousin Craig's house tonight for some Campbell birthday celebrating, and not only did Casey get her first ever birthday presents (wow!), but after seeing the fun, raucous rough-housing of cousins Elle, Max, Katherine, and Colin, she decided to WALK.

She did eight full steps in a row at one point, which was the farthest distance, but throughout our cheering, Casey managed several consecutive steps many times over.

Now, she just needs to master the skill in time for her first birthday extravaganza next weekend!

(And thanks to the cousins for her presents - we think that adorable dresses and cropped sweaters must be the fashion trend of the baby season!)

Snow Day!...

This is the ladies' current state of affairs. It's been snowing since about 9:00PM last night and hasn't stopped yet!

Tee Jay, on the other hand, ventured out in the park's truck at about 5:30AM to help man the city's Emergency Response Center. We think he'll be putting in at least 12 hours today, but it's not so bad since it puts extra money in the paycheck and I'm sure is a bit exciting for him.
